. Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC)

"GinShiCel" cellulose ether HE series, namely hydroxyethyl cellulose, is a white till cream white powder. It can dissolve in hot water, but also cold water, can't easily dissolve in organic solvent. "GinShiCel"cellulose ether HE series products have very strong water-retaining, film formation, anti-salt and thickening functions. They also have excellence color compatibility, and are ideal additive in emulsion paint application.

3. Physicochemical property
1. This product is white or yellowish powder which is odorless, tasteless, easy for flow. It can dissolve in cold water, but also hot water. In general, almost organic solutions, dissolve in the scale of pH 2-12, their viscosity change is seldom. But once over this scale, their viscosity will reduce. Through surface treatment, in cold water, HEC will disperse, but not coagula, but its solution speed is slower. Generally need about 33min. Heat it or adjust pH value to 8-10, it will rapidly dissolve.
